    About Diamond

Also called the forever stone, diamonds have a long history as beautiful objects of desire.

They are best known for their white colour but can come in all different colours. The name Diamond comes from the Greek word ‘Adamas’ meaning unbreakable. With a hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale they are the hardest known material on earth: 58 times harder than anything else found in nature.

Diamond is the birthstone for April, symbolizes infinity, and supposedly grants their wearer peace, richness, and happiness in love.

Perhaps the best-loved gems of all time, pearls occur in a wide variety of colours. The most familiar are white and cream, but the palette of colours extends to every hue.
Pearls are organic gems that originate from oceans, lakes, and rivers and grow inside the tissue of a living mollusk.
With a hardness of 2,5 to 4 on the Mohs scale; they are comparatively soft gems. Store them separately from other gems and jewellery to prevent scratching.
Legends say pearls are tears of joy shed by the goddess of love, Aphrodite. Pearls symbolize prosperity, purity, and innocence and bestow long life.
