Morganite is the light pink to orange-pink variety of Beryl, a mineral that includes emerald and aquamarine. With a hardness of 7,5 to 8 on the Mohs scale; morganite is perfect for use in jewellery.
The gem was named after the famous American banker and collector J.P. Morgan. Morgan’s mineral collection was so impressive and a significant portion of the best mineral specimens in the Museum of natural history in New York are from his collection.
Morganite is believed to enhance romantic emotions and help with self-acceptance and have a calming effect when under stress.
Also called the forever stone, diamonds have a long history as beautiful objects of desire.
They are best known for their white colour but can come in all different colours. The name diamond comes from the Greek word ‘Adamas’ meaning unbreakable. With a hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale, they are the hardest known material on earth: 58 times harder than anything else found in nature.
Diamond is the birthstone for April, symbolizes infinity and supposedly grants their wearer peace, richness, and happiness in love.
